Follow-up Studies of Bladder Tumors after Partial Cystectomy

Abstract
A clinical observation and follow-up study was made on the bladder tumor of in-patients in the Department of Urology, Sacred Heart Hospital during the period from June, l968 to May, 1975. The results were obtained as follows. l. The incidence of tumor of the bladder was 3.5% to total number of in-patients. 2. The sex ratio was 7.3: l with male 44 and female 5. 3. The most common age group was sixth decade. 4, Fifty four % of the patients visited to hospital within 1 year after initial symptoms occurred. 5. Of symptoms, hematuria was the most common as 92% and then frequency 24%, painful urination 18%, in order. 5. As the method of treatment, T. U. R. was performed 29 tines partial systectomy 22, and total cystectomy 12. 7. Follow-up studies was made on 12 patients. As the result, the survival age could be extended with continuous follow-up study after the primary treatment.
